Tenerife, the island of eternal spring

Hi ya travellers!

If you are looking for a nice place, where sunny days dominate throughout the year and the average of temperatures lies between 20-22°, then welcome to Tenerife!
There are indeed many reasons which would encourage you to visit this place, but for sure, Tenerife's weather is the main one.

So many people of all ages travel to Tenerife to have long weeks or months full of relax and for this reason lots of them have an holiday home on the island.
Fly here is very easy and there are two airports: one located in the north and the other one in the south.
My first advice is to rent a car if you want to move wherever you prefere and make a complete tour of the island.
Tenerife is not so big but so many landscapes deserve to be visited!

Thanks to the excellent position on the Atlantic ocean, lot of surfers comes here to practice this sport.
One of the most important beaches to surf is Playa del Medano, just a few kilometers far from the airport Tenerife South - Reina Sofia.

Another very famous beach is Playa de las Americas and is one of the most popular tourist destinations.
All the zone is lively, animated and suited to entertainment, with lot of bars,  pub, disco and restaurants.
Here you can find young people from all Europe.

If you are looking for a touristic zone but definitely quieter than Playa de las Americas, you can go to Los Cristianos.
Here I would advice you a very nice restaurant (Water Melon - Av. La Habana 8B, Los Cristianos), where you can eat a very good parillada on a terrace overlooking sea, in a beautiful atmosphere with candlelight.

Leaving the south you can drive up to the capital, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, the biggest and most populated city of Tenerife.
With the city behind us and continuing the tour into narrow streets, between mountains and sea , you will arrive in another fascinating and magic place, Punta Teno, one of the most unforgettable landscapes of the island.
This is the place I would recommend to all the people who want to visit an amazing area.
Here you will find only sea, mountains, wind and a small lighthouse.

Teide is the third biggest volcano of the world, with its 3718 metres, impressive mountain in the heart of Tenerife.
The national park of Teide is the most visited in all Europe.
You can make excursions, during the day time, by walk (if you are adventurous or trained!) or by cableway (ticket cost is about 25 €).
Here you can forget the beaches and the warm climate because the temperature is quite cold but once in life you have to try the immensity of the landscape seen from the above of the volcano.

Last but not least, I recommend to make a visit during the Carnival time.
The carnival is one of the most well-known features of Tenerife and the best after Rio de Janeiro.
The main celebrations take place in Santa Cruz de Tenerife in the areas near the port where people dance with the sound of the best Salsa groups.
Whoever visits Tenerife during the month of February should not miss the vibrant and bustling celebrations and if possible join the crowd in fancy dress.

If you want to travel through breathtaking natural scenery, come here to enjoy and relax, in the island of eternal spring.

Paris mon amour!

Bonjour!
Have you ever heard anyone who is not in love with Paris?!
Judged as the most romantic city ever and one of the most famous european capitals, visited from people of all ages.

Moving aroud Paris is quite easy, thanks to the 14 different lines of the metrò and a huge number of buses.
As prices, this city is very expensive and to make the right choice about tickets, you need to know how often you will use the public transport.
If you think you will not use it so much, I recommend the book with 10 tickets; in a case of a big use of the transports I would recommend the "Paris visite", a card available for 1-2-3 or 5 days.
All the informations about prices, traffic, lines and opening times are available on:  http://www.ratp.fr/

I would start our tour around the city from one of my preferite places here: Montmartre!
Once here, the best feeling is to be surrounded by millions of people around you...citizens, tourists, sellers and buskers.
Montmartre is the name of the hill and to arrive on the top of it, which is 130 metres high, you can choose to take the famous funicular or to enjoy the great view, making a little effort, and going on all the steps that lead up on the hill.
Montmartre is primarily known for the Basilica of the Sacré-coeur, but also for being the heart of all the buskers you can find here on all the streets around the church.
Many artists had studios or worked around the community of Montmartre, such as Salvador Dali, Claude Monet, Pablo Picasso, Vincent van Gogh and many more.

For all the lovers of the movie "Amelie", a romantic comedy shot in Paris, between Montmartre and Pigalle, you can find the bar "Café des 2 moulins" (15, Rue Lepic), where they filmed many scenes of the movie.
You can sit down and relax yourselves, have a coffee and dream to be for a while part of the cast of the movie.
Leaving behind us this wonderful world, we can walk through the streets of Pigalle, the famous red light district of the city.
Very particular place, known for all the sexy shops presents in the area but also for the world-famous cabaret "Moulin Rouge", the spiritual birthplace of the modern form of the can-can dance.

Now let's walk around the most common tourist areas.

One of them, is where we can observe the Arc de Triomphe in the Place de l'Etoile, at the end of the Champs-Elysées, the heart of the shopping area in Paris, a very long avenue full of shops.
If you want to spend some money in clothes or accessories, this is the right place...here you can find everything you need!
If you are not here for shopping, you can also buy a ticket and observe the avenue from the top of the Arc de Triomphe.

The other place I really love, is where everyone needs to go at least once in life: the Tour Eiffel.
Located in the Champ de Mars, it is the icon of this city and of France, it is possible to buy a ticket and to ascend on it .
It is one of the most important tourist zone, so it is possible to find a long queue but if it is your first time in the city, I recommend to go and enjoy the view.

Notre Dame De Paris, known also as Notre Dame Cathedral, in gotic style, is located on the eastern half of the Ile de la Cité, absolutely to be visited inside.
In the meantime you can visit the area around it because, in my opinion, it is really nice.

To complete your tour of the city, I would advise you two of the most famous museums:
The Louvre musée (Louvre museum official website), known all over the world, huge museum where you can find inside very good exibitions; you need to spend here a bit of your time if you want to see everything but it deserves to be visited;
The Musée d'Orsay (Musee d'Orsay official website), built in the old station of Orsay and located in the heart of Paris on the Seine, it is a museum with an authentic charm and for your informaton every first Sunday of the month the entrance is free.

Outside the context of the tourist trip, if you want to try a very good creperie in the Montparnasse area, the best I tried is "Creperie Plougastel", the address is 47 Rue du Montparnasse.
This is a long street full of small restaurants where you can eat crepes but, in my opinion, this is a nice place, not expensive, with really friendly staff and, where of course, crepes and gallettes are really good!!!

And now, as last point of my review, I would speak about a magic place outside the city, where everyone needs to go, it doesn't matter how old you are, you will dream in Disneyland Paris.

Impossible to describe all the park inside, it is huge and every corner is absolutely amazing.
First of all, if you want to spend more than a day and to stay very close to the park, you can try one of the different hotels, all of them with one special theme.
The entrance in the park is not so cheap but, trust me, you will not regret about it.
All the information about prices, opening times and days, hotels and many more are available on the official website of Disneyland Paris.
A place full of attractions, restaurants, shops and parades of all kinds, here you will enjoy your day surrounded by Disney characters.
I would not tell you everything about this magic kingdom, test yourself to see with your eyes what I am talking about.
You will love it!

A city full of history, art, beautiful monuments and places.
Are you or not in love with Paris now?!

"If you are lucky enough to have lived in Paris as a young man, then wherever you go for the rest of your life, it stays with you, for Paris is a moveable feast." - Ernest Hemingway

When a man is tired of London, he is tired of life.

Hello world!
The first place I would love to describe is the city where I left my heart...London!
Today is perfect for me to explain what you can see in this amazing city because in this day, October 21 of exactly 3 years ago I went there to live and realize one of my biggest dream.
About this great place, I could write one thousand of different recommendations but one thing is sure...it offers everything you need or everything you're looking for.

The city is divided into zones but reach the city center is very easy because of the organization between the tube and the buses during the day and the night time.
The prices of the public transport are not so cheap and if you organise to stay more then 3 days, the easy way is to buy a weekly oyster card, usable 24 hours on tube and buses too.
If you organise to move with the tube during the weekend, pay attention of the closures of the different lines due to maintenance.
The easiest way to check an alternative route is to visit this web site:   http://www.tfl.gov.uk/

If you are looking for an hotel, a bed and breakfast or an hostel, you will find lot of accomodations, depending on the amount you want to spend.
I tried both of them, and I definitely prefer to advice you the second one, for an easy reason: you can find nice and clean bed and breakfast and not so expensive at all.
I personally found and tried a good solution, a nice bed and breakfast in King's Cross area: Princess Hotel.
Small, clean and not expensive at all, comparing it with the prices of this city, and with friendly staff, speaking english and italian too!
Two minutes by walk directly from the station, connected with 6 different lines of the tube.
Please, you find here the web site where you can check availability of rooms, find prices, contacts and directly book online:   http://www.princesshotel.co.uk/

But now, let's speak about what you can visit and see in this amazing city!
The center is the most tourist area, from Piccadilly Circus and Soho with the suggestive China Town, walking towards Trafalgar Square and then straight to the House of Parliament (you can enter inside and visit in a few months of the year) and Westminister Abbey.
Crossing the Thames towards St. Paul Cathedral walking between lot of buskers, under the London Eye, on the southbank river.
If you'd like to walk and you're lucky finding out a sunny day (of course, if you prefere, you can do it also if you find the very famous London rain), you could enjoy the visit of the city with all the beautiful things you can see.
Tower Bridge, the Tower of London and the suggestive area around here, east London, the City and the economic heart, very busy during the week for all the workers around, almost empty during the weekend.
You can not lose one of the oldest ceremonies, changing the guard, taking place at Buckingam Palace everyday in the morning.

Lot of the most important museum are free if you like to organise your visit during the opening time (open until late in some days of the week), these are some of the places where you do not have to pay a ticket to get in: Tate Modern, Science Museum, Natural History Museum, Victoria and Albert Museum, National Portrait Gallery, National Gallery, British Museum.
You will pay a ticket only for few exhibitions.
Madame Tussauds museum is one of the most common tourist attraction.
The ticket is a bit expensive but, in my opinion, it is absolutely to try once in life.
It is closed only on Christmas day and, if you do not want to queue so long, the best recommendation is to choose an off-peak day.

If you will go in London for shopping, well done, you chose the right place!
Oxford street, Regent street and Carnaby street are the middle of the shopping with hundred of different shops.
I would advice Westfield too, Sheperd's Bush station, the biggest shopping center in all Europe.
Amazing and huge place where you can relax yourselves between shops, restaurants and cinema too.
Absolutely, you need to spend part of your time visiting some of the most famous markets.
Notting Hill and Portobello road with a nice vintage market, Camden town with an amazing extravagant market, Covent Garden market surrounded by buskers all day long and Brick Lane and Liverpool street markets and all the social life of East London around.
Do not miss them!

London is perfect for the social life...from happy hours in a tipical english pub to clubs, you will enjoy your night out meeting people from all the nations.
If you want to go clubbing, just choose the right party for you, from rock to house you will find lot of different choices.
The city is full of bars where you can dance too.
Some bars I would recommend to you: Gem Bar, Zebrano, Tiger Tiger, Bar Sport and many more.
I would like to remember you some of the most famous club as Ministry of Sound, Fabric and Pacha, where some of the most important DJs will be often part of the line up!
Here the link if you want to check the parties:

Last but not least, if you love the nature, you can spend entire days in the beautiful London parks.
Places treated with special care, you will find colorful flowers, green lawns and squirrels running very close to you.
You can find a various choice, here some of them, advised for you: St. James Park, Hyde Park, Regent's Park, Greenwich Park, Richmond Park and Primrose Hill (very close to Regent's Park) a very good place where you can admire a great view of the city.

A special town where you will hear languages of all parts of the world.
Go and try to feel what this wonderful city could offer to you!
Enjoy!
